Immediately after being baptized Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted. Throughout His ministry we see Jesus retreating to the place of the wilderness to practice silence and solitude. Could it be that the wilderness is not a place of weakness, but the place where our faith will be refined as we practice solitude and silence?
