Mark a Milestone

At Woodbury Lutheran Church

Life is full of meaningful moments, and we want to walk with you through every one. Whether you’re celebrating a baptism, preparing for marriage, marking a child’s confirmation, or honoring a loved one’s life, we’re here to support you with care, clarity, and compassion. Let us help you take the next step in your family’s faith journey.

Milestones

Each milestone at WLC tells a story of God’s presence and faithfulness—from baptism and first communion to confirmation, weddings, and funerals. These moments mark where God meets us, shapes us, and walks with us through every season of life.

We believe that Baptism is one of the miraculous means of grace—along with God’s Word—through which He gives the gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation. In Baptism, God works faith in the hearts of His people, young and old alike, not because of anything we do, but because of His promise and grace. Whether you’re exploring Baptism for yourself, your child, or a loved one, we’d love to walk with you and celebrate this powerful moment of faith.

Ready to experience the life-changing gift of baptism? Fill our our Baptism interest form. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We invite parents and kids to join a special four-week journey together at Woodbury Lutheran, exploring the meaning and heart of Communion. Each week, you’ll dive into a new part of this important step in faith—learning, sharing, and growing as a family.

First Communion classes begin early in the new year with the celebration of First Communion on Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before Easter. If you’d like to learn more or sign up, contact Bethany Meyer at meyerb@woodburylutheran.org.

The Confirmation Journey is a faith experience designed to fit your family’s pace—perfect for students (7th–12th grade) who want to dig deeper into what they believe and why it matters.

This flexible journey can be completed in a year or take as long as your family needs. Students, together with a parent or mentor, will work through journal lessons, Scripture readings, and the Catechism to learn what it means to follow Jesus.

At the end, students have the opportunity to publicly confirm their faith and own their identity as disciples committed to following Jesus for life.

Getting Married at Woodbury Lutheran
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! At WLC, we believe marriage is more than a ceremony—it’s a lifelong commitment rooted in faith, love, and grace. Our Wedding Guide has everything you need to know to get started.

Premarital Counseling
To help you prepare for life together, we ask all couples to complete six premarital sessions:

  • A 1-hour intro with your officiating pastor
  • Four sessions using the Keirsey Temperament Sorter and Prepare/Enrich tools
  • A final planning session to walk through the service details (music, readings, etc.)

Next Steps
Ready to schedule or have questions? Reach out to Jenelle Rodemeyer at rodemeyerj@wlc.church or call (651) 739-5144. We’d love to walk with you as you step into this new chapter—together, with Jesus at the center.

When a Loved One Passes
Losing someone you love is never easy. At Woodbury Lutheran, we want to walk alongside you during this difficult time—to celebrate your loved one’s life and focus on the hope we have in Jesus: forgiveness, resurrection, and eternal life.

Because of Jesus, we can face death with confidence—and grieve with hope.

Planning Ahead
One way to care for your family is to consider filling out a Funeral Pre-Planning Form. It gives you a chance to share important details, family history, and your favorite Scriptures or songs—so your wishes are known when the time comes.
