This missionary couple has been actively translating the Bible for a Muslim people group living in a country in which there is no freedom of religion. Their names and location are not disclosed for security purposes. For many years they’ve developed relationships with local people who assist with Bible translation. They record Scripture spoken by native speakers to be distributed digitally via a cellphone app and are excited to see app usage increasing recently. Their long-term desire is that local believers will begin meeting together for worship and fellowship, but this is a dangerous endeavor. Trust among the local people is low, and fear of persecution is high.
This couple has faithfully served in this capacity for decades; they raised their 2 sons (now adults living in the U.S) on the mission field.
