Reach is developing a lifestyle of being on mission with Jesus – reaching out with His love across the table, the hall, the street, the city, and the world!
Reach is God’s call to live on mission with him through outreach, missions, and learning to follow Jesus as an everyday disciple. The focus in reach is being Prepared and Equipped to Go and Engage, responding to what’s commonly called the Great Commission, Jesus’ invitation and challenge to his followers at the end of Matthew 28:
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
How can I get involved?
At WLC, we partner with many ministries to serve the hungry, widowed, orphaned, unborn, refugees, homeless, and more. Check out our ministry partners to find out more about what God is doing throughout our communities.

Feed My Starving Children
WLC has packed millions of meals in partnership with Feed My Starving Children. Our Valley Creek Campus in Woodbury is often the site of MobilePacks to feed hungry kids around the world!
New Life Family Services
We believe in supporting life from "womb to tomb" and for 20 years we have partnered with New Life Family services as they bring care to those who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Through pre-natal care, counseling, ultrasounds, parenting classes, supplies, and more they are showing these families the love of Jesus. New Life also offers a Conquerors class which helps women who have had an abortion to experience the forgiveness of Jesus. WLC had the joy of giving part of our 2018 Easter offering to New Life which helped fund their newest location in the Philipps Neighborhood in Minneapolis. Most recently we were part of the World's Largest Diaper Drive and gave thousands of diapers to help moms and babies in need!
World Vision
WLC has long partnered with World Vision in child sponsorships and with Team World Vision to run marathons and raise money to provide clean water for kids around the world! Since 2019 through Chosen, 624 WLC families have been chosen by kids in Tongi, Bangladesh to be their sponsor!
Settled.
In 2020 WLC partnered with Settled to build a tiny home to combat homelessness. In the fall of 2022 we're doing it again, this time building a second tiny home in the Valley Creek Campus parking lot. Through Sacred Settlements, teams of advocate-befrienders wrap around each inhabitant coming off the streets to build trusted relationships, walk alongside them, and connect them with valuable support services as they journey to meet their life goals.
Arrive Ministries
WLC currently has small groups working with Arrive Ministries dedicated to welcoming and walking alongside newly arrived refugee families. Imagine arriving in a country where you may not speak the language...how would you find housing, medical care, and everyday essentials? Arrive Ministries seeks to love refugees and immigrants practically, socially and spiritually by providing direct program services, mobilizing the Church, and calling our communities to respond biblically.
Every Meal
Every Meal focuses on food gaps — days when children aren’t able to receive free and reduced meal programs through their school. WLC has partnered with Every Meal for many years praying for local kids and their families and filling backpacks with food for students in need to take home.
Open Cupboard, Neighbors Inc., and Valley Outreach Food Shelves
Helping to provide food to those in need is one way we live our our value of Compassionate Care at WLC. Through our Summer Night Out event that packs trucks with donations, and our community garden that harvests fresh fruits and veggies, we love our partnerships with three local food shelves:
