At Woodbury Lutheran Preschool, we offer more than just childcare—we provide a Christ-centered learning environment where every child can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically. With age-appropriate classrooms, caring teachers, and flexible options for families, we walk alongside you in giving your child a strong start.
Early preschool (30-36 Months)
A Gentle Beginning
Your child is curious, eager to explore, and growing quickly! With our small class sizes (1:6), each child is known, loved, and nurtured in a supportive, Christ-centered environment — the perfect start to their preschool journey.
Mixed Age (3-4 Years)
Exploring Their World
Children develop key skills — social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual — while building a strong foundation for kindergarten. Our robust curriculum and hands-on learning foster growth, confidence, and success. Children must be 3 years old by September 1st.

Our preschool program introduces routines and hands-on activities that spark curiosity and encourage problem-solving. Children build friendships, grow in confidence, and start to explore early academics—all grounded in faith and play-based learning.
Extended Care (4-5 Years)
Before & After School
Before- and after-school care is available to give your family flexibility on the days your child attends preschool. With Christ at the center, we help children discover who God made them to be.

Our enrichment activities give children the opportunity to explore new interests and build confidence in fun, age-appropriate ways..
Spanish Enrichment with Carol Mora: Spanish enrichment is the perfect environment to enhance children’s early learning experience by gently exposing them to a new language during a key time in brain development. Each session is packed with:
- Interactive songs and movements
- Simple Spanish vocabulary (colors, animals, greetings)
- Storytime and puppets
- Hands-on games and cultural activities
Spirited Feet with Heidi Crist: Spirited Feet is a faith-based dance class with Heidi Crist, praising God through dance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after our regular school day. At Spirited Feet, they emphasize the 3 “S’s”
- Skills – We teach dance skills. Tap, ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop. We also teach life skills. Taking turns, showing kindness, among many others!
- Self-Esteem – We focus our dancing on praising Jesus! We strive to keep our movements uplifting and we don’t require costumes or makeup. Your dancer will always find an encouraging environment at Spirited Feet!
- Salvation – We teach the salvation message of Jesus Christ. We choose music that echoes biblical teaching and spend time praying with each class. We also learn a bible verse each session.

About Our Preschool
Yes! Our preschool is fully licensed by the State of Minnesota and accredited through the National Lutheran School Accreditation Program. We’ve also earned the highest Parent Aware rating, demonstrating our commitment to quality, safety, and excellence in early childhood education.
We offer programs for children ages 30 months through 5 years.
Yes! We provide before-school care from 8–9 am and after-school care from 2–4 pm for our 9 am–2 pm classes. Please note, currently there is no before-school care for early preschoolers; there is only after-school care available.
Yes, Christ is at the center of all we do. Children learn Bible stories, sing songs, and pray daily.
No! Our preschool is open to children of all backgrounds, and we welcome every family into our community.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. All staff are trained, background-checked, and CPR/First Aid certified. Our building is secure, and we use a safe check-in/check-out system to ensure that only approved adults pick up children.
We believe young children learn best through play and exploration. Our Christ-centered, play-based curriculum helps children develop socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually, while nurturing curiosity and creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
Absolutely! Our teachers are highly qualified, with most holding four-year degrees and all engaging in ongoing early childhood training to provide top-quality care and learning.
Our class sizes are intentionally small to ensure each child receives personal attention. We follow state licensing requirements and often exceed them, giving your child the chance to thrive with individualized care and instruction.
Families provide lunches for their children each day, while the school provides snacks. This allows you to accommodate your child’s preferences and dietary needs, while we ensure a clean, structured environment for mealtimes.
