Identity has always been a hot topic. Humankind has wrestled with the questions, “Who am I?” “How do I fit in? “ and “Where do I belong?” for generations. The search for identity is deeply connected to the search for meaning. “Do I matter? In the gospel, God gives a resounding, “Yes!!” He raises our gaze and tells us that we are invaluable to him, that we are part of His story, the story of the new thing He is doing. In Jesus, God invites us to see our identity in this way, “I belong to Him, I am His.”
