Passage: Romans 8:35-37
Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation. Envy: Dissatisfaction of what I have, desire to take what is not mine. The pull of envy is strong as we live in a world of comparison, and competition for worldly possessions, power, and status. Jesus defines us with His identity and sets us free from the pull of envy.
