Passage: Luke 10:38-42
There are three main barriers that get in the way between us and loving our neighbor: lack of time, being paralyzed by fear, and having an agenda. We live lives of business with no margin for relationships. We operate out of skepticism that causes our view of our neighbors to be one of fear. We view “loving our neighbor” as a conversion project with the only goal being getting them to church. Each of these barriers get in the way of us truly living lives that are postured towards loving our neighbor. As followers of Jesus, we are called to lives of intentionality over busyness, lives of invitation over fear, and lives of understanding over agenda.
