Passage: Matthew 14:13-21
Something that becomes clear when looking at the life of Jesus is that meals were incredibly important to him. Whether it’s a large crowd of followers, a small group of sinners, or his own twelve disciples, Jesus did some of his most important ministry around a meal. For Jesus, eating wasn’t an interruption to his ministry. It was his ministry. Jesus knew that gathering around a meal is the path towards the deepest of relationships. Could your table be the path towards building deep relationships with your neighbors around you?
