In the Disney movie, Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket croons the song, “When You Wish Upon a Star.” The lyrics, in part, read, “When you wish upon a star fate steps in and sees you through. When you wish upon a star Your dreams come true.” But God’s word tells us that God, the one who made the stars, has promised to save His people. Not fate, not dreams, not wishes…this is the promise of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. And in Jesus, His promise comes true.
