As shepherds tended their flocks by night suddenly the light of the stars was overwhelmed by the glory of God as an angel appeared to them to tell them of the Messiah’s birth. That glory of God is radiated by Jesus, greater than the angels, he is the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abram, of God’s promise in Jeremiah. He is the Savior.
