Passage: Matthew 26:3-16
From the very start of the trial of Jesus, the corruption begins to unfold. Secrecy. Bribery. Betrayal. Who are the plaintiffs in this trial? Two of the most unsuspecting groups of people: the religious leaders and Jesus's own friend. Two groups that you would think would be most loyal and devoted to Jesus. The depth and breadth of sin is on full display as we see that no person is exempt from the complete and utter depravity that can turn one from God.
