After being arrested, Jesus is brought before Caiaphas, the high priest, to have his charges presented. Yet, the high priests are actively searching for witnesses to lie and bear false witness about Jesus. In an ironic twist, it was the truth that Jesus spoke about himself that outraged the high priests and would lead to his death, claiming to be the Messiah, the Son of God.
